Camp Fire Clubs are small-group programs for youth from preschool through high school, led by trained adult volunteers—often parents, caregivers, or community members.
Camp Fire Clubs are a place to connect with others, grow your confidence, and explore your interests—all while being part of a supportive community.
For more than 100 years, Camp Fire Clubs have helped youth grow, lead, and belong in small-group, community-based settings led by caring adult volunteers.
Camp Fire programs are open to youth of all backgrounds and abilities. We strive to create safe, inclusive spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and valued. In Camp Fire, youth build strong friendships, explore their identities, and connect to the outdoors, others, and themselves.
Youth voice is at the heart of everything we do. Young people help shape their own experiences, take on leadership roles, and pursue what excites them most. Camp Fire empowers kids and teens to discover their “Spark”—the interests and passions that light them up inside—while building essential life skills and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Through fun, hands-on experiences and meaningful relationships, Camp Fire inspires creativity, leadership, service, and a deep sense of belonging.
Our research-based program framework supports the whole child through the Five Trails:
“Our club is like a second home—fun, welcoming, and full of adventure!"
– Club member, age 13
Camp Fire Clubs are youth-led and adult-supported. Members help choose the activities they care about most—whether it's art, science, outdoor adventures, or service projects.
As young people grow, they take on more leadership and voice in decision-making, helping them become confident, capable individuals ready to contribute to the world around them. Camp Fire is a place where kids and teens get to discover their passions, gain confidence, and thrive in a supportive environment.
Camp Fire Club experiences often include family engagement—whether it’s through shared projects, special events, campouts, or service activities. Every club is unique. Some meet weekly with parent involvement at every step; others allow youth to attend with occasional family participation. Clubs are designed to strengthen both peer and family connections while deepening ties to community and nature.
Clubs can be formed with similar-age youth or span multiple age groups, depending on the interests and needs of the members and leaders. As youth grow, they move through Camp Fire’s program levels and can earn emblems for their activities, projects, and accomplishments—making progress visible and meaningful.

For more than 100 years, Camp Fire has created safe, inclusive spaces for young people to grow, connect, and lead.
Though the world has changed since our founding in 1910, many of the values, goals, and outcomes of Camp Fire remain the same: we help youth build relationships, develop social, emotional, and life skills, and connect to the outdoors, to others, and to themselves.
Young people want to shape the world.
Camp Fire provides the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.
In Camp Fire, it begins now.
